Original chromolithograph dated 1895, illustrated by Richard Simkin. Depicts three soldiers of The Manchester Regiment (63rd & 96th Foot) in full dress uniform: scarlet tunics, black trousers, and regimental headgear. One soldier stands with rifle at ease; the other two converse beside a small guardhouse. Background includes a cloudy sky and open landscape. Captioned “THE MANCHESTER REGIMENT 63rd & 96th FOOT” below image. Simkin’s signature appears lower left.
