Georgian Mourning Brooch - Garnet and Seeds

A superb mourning brooch but instead of the hair it has some beautiful and sweet needle work of a purple flower on green background Extremely sweet. The metal looks like Pinchbeck gold plated, please study photos, The stones are real garnets,one stone has been replaced sometime in the past but you can't really see it unless you look at the back.

The pin works fine,there is some loss of gold on the back but the brooch it is in good condition for its age. Measures approx 3x3.3cm. I think it's a sweet piece extra special with the needle work in the middle. Thanks for looking:-)
