1902 British Chromolithograph – Royal Lancasters Uniform Print

Price

£50.00

Original chromolithograph depicting three officers of The Royal Lancasters—Lieutenant, Captain, and Adjutant—in full regimental dress. Their uniforms feature bold red and deep blue tunics, with distinctive headgear and pose indicative of Victorian-to-Edwardian military presentation.

Each figure is clearly labeled beneath, with the title “THE ROYAL LANCASTERS” centered above, suggesting this may be part of a period series celebrating British regiments and rank structure.

The print is professionally backed and labeled by Storey's Limited —a respected dealer in antique engravings and prints. A secondary handwritten label attributes a date of 1902 and notes this as No. 25, possibly within a larger cataloged series. Though described as an "engraving" on the label, the visual style and production technique are consistent with genuine chromolithographic printing of the period.

Please note the print has been protected with glossy cellophane wrapping which impacts on the photograph. I have included an enhanced photograph to show how it may look without wrapping and under high colour temperature light.

Condition: Light age toning and minor edge wear appropriate to age. Mounted on Archival backing and wrapped in cellophane.

A rare and visually arresting example of British regimental pride, ideal for military historians, print collectors, and those seeking authentic Edwardian-era visual documentation.

Size (including mount): 29cm width, 37cm high
