Price

£175.00

Original 1899 chromolithograph by Richard Simkin, depicting mounted troopers of the Earl of Chester’s Yeomanry Cavalry and The Lancashire Hussars, both part of the 9th Yeomanry Brigade. A dynamic landscape composition showing cavalrymen in full dress uniform astride horses, with helmets, plumes, and regimental detailing clearly rendered. The brigade title and individual unit names are printed below the image.

- Artist: Richard Simkin (signed lower right)

- Date: 1899

- Medium: Chromolithograph on card

- Mounting: Card-mounted, unframed

- Dimensions: Approx. 50 × 37 cm (landscape orientation)

Please note the print has been protected with glossy cellophane wrapping which impacts on the photograph. I have included an enhanced photograph to show how it may look without wrapping and under high colour temperature light.

A striking cavalry study with clear regimental identifiers and balanced composition. Particularly appealing to collectors of Yeomanry or pre-Boer War volunteer formations. No verso text, but retains full front titling and artist’s signature.
