Depicts soldiers of The East Lancashire Regiment (30th & 59th Foot) in full dress uniform: scarlet tunics, white crossbelts, and black helmets. The figures are shown advancing at speed across a battlefield with rifles drawn, smoke rising in the background. Captioned “THE EAST LANCASHIRE REGIMENT 30TH & 59TH FOOT” below image. Simkin’s signature appears lower left.
