Depicts three soldiers of The King’s Liverpool Regiment (4th Dragoons) in full dress uniform: red tunics, white belts, and white helmets. One soldier stands with rifle in hand; the other two appear to be conversing. The scene is set on open grassland with small structures in the distance. Captioned “THE KINGS LIVERPOOL REGIMENT 4th DRAGOONS” below image. Simkin’s signature appears lower left.

A well-balanced composition with strong uniform detail and regimental clarity. Particularly appealing for collectors focused on cavalry units or the evolution of British Army dress in the late Victorian period.
